Who We Are
Dandyhorse SF is a small but mighty San Francisco tour and bike rental business run by its cheerful founder’s Nick and Lindy, along with some talented friends. We are constantly nerding-out on San Francisco, exploring, learning, and riding through the city to bring you one-of-a-kind local knowledge and share the best SF has to offer. Dandyhorse’s unique tours bring together our passion for SF food, history, architecture, art, nature, and the extra-special details. We can’t wait to show you the friendly, full local experience by bike!
Co-Founder & Lead Guide
Nick is the day-to-day force behind Dandyhorse SF. Nick has designed all of the current bike tours in our lineup, leads most of the tours, and custom builds all of our one-of-a-kind bikes.
Nick loves to nerd-out about SF history, food, and bicycles, plus all the little details that make for a memorable and extra-hospitable time. Nick always says he is constantly chasing the perfect tour he’ll never give, but is always striving to make every tour the best yet.
Nick is a California native and has lived in SF and the Mission District for over 10 years. Nick’s passion is photography and he loves sharing photos with all of his tour guests. In his spare time he is tinkering around with interior designing the shop, gardening, restoring vintage bicycles, and cooking up a storm.

How it All Began
Dandyhorse, known previously as Pedal Inn, started as an overnight bike camping tour company and camping cookbook. It all started way back in the spring of 2012 when Nick and Lindy launched a successful Kickstarter project [ insert link] to write a gourmet bike camping cookbook. The sold out first edition of our cookbook highlights five of the best SF Bay Area bike camping destinations and over 30 exceedingly-delicious thematic gourmet recipes. Find a free digital copy of the weekender below. You can also find plenty of interesting information on bike camping, beautiful photography, recipes and more over at the old pedalinn.com website. Just search for Bay Area Bike Camping, check it out and get inspired!
